Detox your mind and body

Detox is a process in which a person makes lifestyle changes to clear their body of toxins. This is the core of health and healing. When I’m talking about a detox that doesn’t mean a no-eating cleanse. Eating healthy foods will help the process rather than eating junk food. I suggest a vegan diet but if that is not for you there are other options. I usually do a detox for about a week and won’t do it again till the next month.


Detox tea- My favorite type of detox tea is Yogi Healthy Cleansing Formula. It’s caffeine-free which is good for when you want to drink tea at night. This tea has a total of 18 ingredients making a spicy blend. I usually drink my detox tea every night after dinner before bed for about two weeks.

Baths- I can’t think of anything more relaxing than a hot bubble bath. Not only will a detox bath feel good, but it will help improve skin problems and release toxins from the body. Fill the tube with warm water, add Dr. Treal’s detox salt, SheaMoisture African Water Mint, and Ginger detox bubble bath and body wash. To make it even more relaxing add some candles around the tube.

Meditating- Meditation and working out help maintain a healthy body. By exercising you release sweat that helps you release toxins through your skin. I like meditating and doing yoga because it helps clear your mind and you feel stress-free. Stress can be as toxic to your health as chemicals. The body can start to function poorly when stress is occurring in the troubled mind. I suggest at least ten minutes of silence or play calm music while just sitting or laying down. Make sure nothing is on the mind at all when you are in this state. Even yoga can be a part of your meditation.
